FTO Peru Sol y Cafe
Like our other recent offering from Peru, the Sol y Café is grown in the Northern Andes along the border with Ecuador. The Cooperativa de Servicios Multiples Sol y Café was established in 2008 by 1,000 coffee, cacao, and rice farmers, with the intention of protecting the environment and using financial resources to develop the communities involved. The co-op is a strong supporter of organic and fair trade certifications, and many producers practice bio-dynamic farming.
This coffee is pleasantly rich. Even at a City + roast level, it maintains enough of its high notes to keep it interesting, but the most satisfying attributes of the Sol y Cafe are its depth and drinkability.
Rich, with notes of almond and citrus.
12 ounce bag, whole bean.
Recommended for pour-over, French Press, automatic coffee pot.
