Guatemala Antigua Travesia
This is one of those fancy, high-end auction lot coffees. Pedro Echeverria owns the Travesia Estate in Antigua, in the Southwest of Guatemala. His farm is very high up – some of it over 2,000 MASL. Coffees grown at high altitudes have a denser cellular structure than those grown at lesser altitudes, an attribute that eventually determines its cup quality. After harvest, he sends it off to Finca Capetillo, a farm that specializes in sorting and processing, further ensuring a product of high integrity.
