Papua New Guinea Kimel Estate
Coffee estates from Papua New Guinea are really beginning to bring some game. The Kimel Estate is operated by some 432 producers who live on site. They draw their water from the Kimel River, which provides good, clean water for processing (and drinking!). And they know better than to waste it – they have instituted measures designed to recycle the water and the coffee pulp for other uses. The estate also provides for medical and educational facilities for farmers and their dependents.
A certain percentage of this coffee is that of the famously branded Jamaica Blue Mountain varietal – this coffee is a Dodge Sprinter with a Mercedes engine.
